Clairvoyance, from the French for clear seeing, is the ability to receive intuitive impressions as images: scenes, symbols, colors or inner pictures connected to your question. It is the best known of the psychic senses, but only one of four.
Clairvoyance (clear seeing) receives information visually: a clairvoyant may describe a place they have never seen, a symbol that matters to you, or an image of a situation unfolding.
Clairaudience (clear hearing) receives words, names, fragments of sound or music. A clairaudient reader may pass on a phrase that means nothing to them and everything to you.
Clairsentience (clear feeling) perceives through emotion and physical sensation, feeling another person's mood, pain or intention as their own. Many empaths work this way.
